Advisory:
This week’s Advisory is for A-K FRESHMEN and ALL SENIORS. Seniors should report directly to the Auditorium, your attendance is mandatory and roll will be taken. (Deggelman)
General:

  1. The spring blood drive is Monday, March 17. Sign-up in room 214 or with a Key Club member to donate. (McNulty)
  2. The California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE) is next Tuesday and Wednesday. All 10th grade students must take and pass this test to graduate. Please check the ERC windows starting on Thursday for testing room assignments. (Laurence)
  3. We have yoga today in the SSRC and it is open to everyone. Wear comfortable clothes. (Vilms)
  4. Come see “The Laramie Project” – a moving, unique piece that is important for everyone to see. The play covers the historic account of the murder of Matthew Shepard and it makes a very powerful statement. Performances are Friday, March 7 through Saturday, March 15.(Woods)

Clubs and Meetings:

  1. Key Club meets at lunch today in room 214. (McNulty)
  2. The National Honor Society meets today in room 402. Current members must attend and we’re always open to new members. (Duffy)
  3. Choirs meet tomorrow at lunch in room 110. Snack provided. (Najar)
  4. Football 2008 meeting at lunch on Thursday in the Boys’ Gym for all future F/S and Varsity. (Hansen)

College and Career:

  1. Cañada Community College representative will be in front of the Student Center at lunch tomorrow. (Erber)
  2. Middle College representatives will be in the CCC on Friday, March 14 during 4th period. If you are interested, stop by and get permission form. (Sinton)
  3. Hebrew Free Loan is a non-profit community-based organization that provides interest-free loans to Jewish residents of Northern California to attend any college or university, as well as for vocational training.  Undergraduate student loans range from $3500 to $6000 per year.  More info at www.hflasf.org or call 415-546-9902.   4. Experience Berkeley Program for High School African-American Juniors with a 3.5 GPA or better. Participants receive funding for transportation, room and board and the opportunity to attend panel programs during July 10-12 and July 31-Aug 2, 2008.   5. 19th Annual Black College Awareness Fair on Saturday, March 15, 2008, from 10am-2pm at Stanford University Campus at Tresidder Student Union. Students will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from prestigious historically-black colleges and universities, gather information about potential schools, and attend workshops that assist with the college application process.  If you have questions or want more information, call 510-682-6881 or email vernell_deslonde@yahoo.com.
